I love to fish that spot if its where I think it is. I only catch sogger there though and sometimes a walleye or two after dark but its a fun spot to fish. If it's where I'm thinking it's in West Virginia right?

I seem to always catch a ton of white bas and hybrids on an A-rig and some white swim baits

You make a fellow homesick, lived a mile away from the Ohio river but had to move 8 years ago and miss it every day. Loved to fish from Louisville McAlpine dame to Cannelton dam and caught so many trophy Hybrids, Blue and Flathead cats. also miss the duck hunting in December and January.

in my opinion, unless you are in a tournament and it matters what fish you catch, there is no such thing as bycatch. simply fishing, and whatever bites bites.
