Using an Ice fishing Rod to Catch Smallmouth bass! (Challenge)

Challenge accepted and mission success! Ya’ll I tell you what…. fighting ferocious smallmouth bass in the current of a river with a freakin’ ice rod is unreal! I have to admit, I didn’t know if the rod would even hold up under a dink, but it did! After this session, I wouldn’t be opposed to trying the ice rod challenge on other species like catfish, walleye, and largemouth bass! Im super lucky to have a river close to home that is chalked full of fish that allows challenges like this to even be halfway realistic for me – super grateful! Where should I take the ice rod challenge next??
