  1. I give you a TON of credit making these videos . It’s something I couldn’t do . I don’t watch many videos of professional anglers as most of them seem like commercials for specific brands and I’m just not interested in that . I be prefer videos from Mr Bass , Debo , Tackle Junkie and other regular guys (like yourself) just putting out good fishing content and showing lots of different baits and gear . Keep up the great work 🍻

  2. I have a sponsorship, from a custom baitmaker.ive been promoting his products, and enjoying the experience. I was pursued by my spnsor at the lake, and he gave me products to grow.i agreed to help, and i believe in his vision. His company is D&D baits in arlington washington. It stands for Daddy&daughter baits. He started his lure making at home w his family, and he did monthly raffles on fishbrain giving away bags full of custom baits. Landon Showalter is his name, and hes a good friend, and sponsor for me. Thx Steve!🍻🤠

  3. Anyone sponsored you got to read between the lines. Most Bass pros do a terrible job as pitchmen. KVD is a great fisherman but terrible YouTube pitchman, he is generic in his pitch. How many times can he say it’s critical. I remember hearing a very well known Pro say his favorite reels he’s ever had were Daiwas. He’s a Pure fishing guy and hypes their stuff. Even guys like Tactical bass are sponsored by companies. No secret on a couple as they design or openly partner with them. I don’t blame them though they have to make a living. Just part of the game.

  4. Yeah, I don't trust recommendations from sponsored anglers at all. They're getting paid to sell you products on behalf of their sponsors. Also, it's not all that tough to create 4-5 videos a month, so there's no excuse if you're getting paid to do it. Great video Steve! Back in the radio show days, you had a lot to do with inspiring me to do the type of videos I do today.

  5. Great video. Out of 180 pro's between both big tours maybe 20 have a good Youtube channel. Going to be interesting to see how the Old Timers react to this. They are going to have to adapt. Would imagine most marketing folk are younger now and Youtube and social media is something they are used to. The days of the old TV show are just about over. Enjoy watching your shows.
