Tourney season is slowing down, but I’m still chasin as many as I can! Thomas from @fishingthedmv invited me to fish a Veterans Day tournament at Lake Anna and it turned out to be way bigger than expected. I'm a pretty hard hook setter myself. I used to break off at least twice a trip at a minimum and I was using 17-20 lb test line. I started looking for new knots and came across the "Double San Diego Knot". I've been using the knot for a few years now, and can honestly say that I haven't broken off but twice since, but it was my fault for not re-doing my knot after catching several fish. Usually when I watch; I’m wishing I was there too. But not when it’s that f-ing cold. That’s when I’m glad I can watch from home. Ha! always nice to get a limit – nice stuff. I really appreciate that you show your retrieve style and not just the hook ups.
I agree definitely was a big turnout I was there boat number 64 in the third wave. Only had two good fish the whole day spent most of the day throwing the drop shot. Sick to see you out there the same time as myself small world and love the content man!

Here it’s high 30’s in morning and afternoon it got to 59deg but if you stay in 1 spot didn’t move felt like summer I was literally sweating that doesn’t happen this time of year in upper eastern U.S unless it’s just me it was strange for sure!
30 years ago lake Anna was pumping out 30 lb bags on the regular in the spring
I know your pretty good with FFS and I enjoy watching you use it but I’d like you to check out Russel Marine’s video on the cone angle of FFS and see what you think. A lot of times you seem to be watching that fish chase down your bait maybe your conditions are perfect for such a thing but I thought their video kinda explained how hard that can be 👍👍👍👍 great video too !
