UnderSpin Swimbait Tricks You’ve Never Tried! (Underwater Swim Footage)

Underspins are AMAZING fish catching baits! The trouble is, everyone knows it! Today we’re showing the tricks we use to better match the baitfish and catch MORE FISH, when others are struggling to get bit. Spring time is prime time to fish an underspin and this is the information you need to be successful.

If you’ve never thrown a Keitech swimbait on an underspin, you’ve missed an incredible opportunity. The Keitech has put 10’s of thousands of fish in angler’s boats over the last few years. However, there are many other baits that do an even better job in different situations and you’re probably not using them. Today Tim is breaking down his favorite baits and heads, and explaining the advantage of each in different situations.

If you’re fishing around schooling fish chasing larger shad and you’re not using a Largo shad, you’re missing out! If they’re schooling on tiny shad and you’re not throw a Cool Baits paired with an Easy Shiner, you’re missing out! Below you’ll find Links to the exact baits and heads Tim discussed. We’ve included our favorite colors for each, along with some of the gear we use to fish them.

  1. I think your right on the money for me I use the rage swimmers or swing fats mainly in the flashy swimmer type underspins around docks and areas where fish may be set up to feed but not actively chasing bait in my lake I have a lot more luck on actively feeding fish with a easy shiner and a open hook especially in more open water I also have had some crazy days with a fluke backed under-spin as Shad when they swim don’t do those really wide kicks like a keitech they do more of a gliding action

  2. I really like the gambler EZ Swimmer for weedless underspins. The channel on the back let’s me just hide the hook without hooking it into the bait and is still pretty weedless.

  3. Live on Champlain so REALLY ENJOY Tim's videos as I'm finesse fishing 95% of the time. Often even when I'm throwing what would normally be considered power baits, either because of the speed I'm fishing them or the size i choose to use.
Pretty sure you guys have done Saint Lawrence/ Ontario trips but i strongly urge Tim to come up for another northeast swing any time of year to simply experience the GEM that is Lake Champlain PACKED with 3-5lb smallies (average weight has risen quite a bit in the last 5-10 years since the ailwifes have hit the scene and now gobies are threatening to show up as well) . Also can regularly catch 4-5lb largemouth with an occasional 6+. Finish the trip on Lake Ontario and its possible 6+lb smallies and your livin the good life

  4. I started with the guys in the googan squad 5- 6 years ago, for info. Now I see them with millions of followers and u guys are over here giving bigger and better info then any of them ever did, and U STILL ARE. Yet half the followers l, I just don't get it. They turned into what indescribe as almost a "jackass" if u know that old show, of fishing you tube. U guys should have 3 million followers, love your channel

  5. i use a weighted swimbait hook weedless in my fishery because of all the wood but i like the 3 alt Trokar with a 4 inch easy shiner works great for me sometimes I add a blade to the plastic and it works well also
