  1. I wish we had a big mayfly hatch here, but they're like "Nope…too hot!". Strangely enough, our waters are so warm that it seems like the bass spawn twice in a year, although the second time isn't nearly as dramatic or defined. Still you can find small fry bass swimming around in August and September. I used to think they were minnows until I caught some and noticed they were baby bass.

  2. Hey man I know you like to keep it between three kinds but I strongly suggest the culprit worm. By far the second best bait I have thrown this summer. It’s really good in the grape/red tail for me. I do mainly fish ponds, though, so it might not be any good for you. (It also floats so definitely peg it)

  3. Jimi I’ve had a lot of luck throwing the Megabass sleeper gill during the full moon this summer, caught three 3 pounders in a row during this last full moon, it’s an incredible night fishing bait
