Put a bunch of little tiny holes all over it so the water can get in and out when you go to lift it and it won't be so heavy

The floating tube problem isn’t the material it’s made from, it’s the shape of the tube catching air in all the rivets, you could counteract this by using heavy rocks or just buying a flat tube cool idea for a trap!!!

You're part of the reason that snakeheads and other invasive species are running rampant these days. When you release non native species into ponds they end up other places because birds transport them or their eggs to other waters.
What all do you have in that pond? I've seen bass snakeheads piranhas and cichlids
Maybe put some large rocks 🪨 in to make it sink attach a strong rope and throw it out for a bit and just pull it back in later 🐠
Attach bricks or cinder blocks on the outside with rope or bungee cord to sink your trap. Cinder blocks might be more attractive to the fish (hidey holes).
Please help me to understand how this is an enclosed pond when there are culverts at either end.
