This bait had no business being on fire during the 2025 Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship on Lake Guntersville… but somehow it was the ONLY thing the fish wanted.
I was fishing a classic power-fishing main-lake point — wind, current, bait, everything screaming “throw a moving bait!”
But instead of burning a crankbait or slow-rolling a chatterbait… a tiny finesse bait is what absolutely lit the place up.
In this video, I break down the entire tournament day:
– the decision to fish a finesse bait over any moving baits
– the conditions that made the bite so weird
