Topwater Struggles & Bladed Jig Redemption | Kayak Bass Fishing Adventure
Kayak bass fishing isn’t always about big catches and flawless hooksets—sometimes it’s about the struggle, the laughs, and learning along the way. In this video, I take you along on a morning fishing adventure at Greenbelt Reservoir, where I’ll be targeting largemouth bass from the kayak. The plan was to throw topwater baits and chase those explosive surface strikes, but things didn’t exactly go as planned. I missed hookset after hookset, proving once again that bass fishing will humble you real quick!
Even though the topwater bite didn’t pan out like I hoped, I stuck with it, analyzed what might have gone wrong (were the bass not fully committing, or was it me?), and eventually switched things up. The adjustment paid off when I finally landed one on a bladed jig, saving me from a dreaded skunk.
