Topwater or Texas Rig? Which Fishing Lure Catches The Big Bass?

Which fishing lure catches the big bass, is it topwater or texas rig? I get bites on both the topwater popper and the Texas rigged soft plastic craw. At the first spot I visited I get a bass on the line near the weed edge. This is the first fish of the day and I was exited to get a bite, especially on topwater. The other largemouth bass I hooked was on the texas rig craw, right near the bank! I cast my rig from 15 feet out and “Boink!” I got a big largemouth bass! Both topwater and Taxes Rigs are productive this time of year, maybe give em a try and get lucky like me. #fishing #bassfishing

  1. I learned a great deal watching this particular segment of Realistic Fishing, and most importantly… Luck 🍀 will dry up but, “let’s move to another spot.”

    • Rule – Don’t be afraid to fish a different location.

    • Rule – No strikes on the present lure, don’t be afraid to switch to another format of bait.

In conclusion, many days will end in none productivity however, know when to call it a day and study your craft. The more you practice-the better you’ll become.

  2. I only had 2 bites yesterday and they both jumped and spit out my senko! Bummer! I'm still learning bass fishing…not always sure how to tell the difference between weeds/rocks and a bass on the texas rig. Always just been a panfish guy used to using slip floats. Ah well, when the bass don't cooperate I hit up the panfish.

  3. TY 4 taking us fishing! Ya know I've been fishing 40+ years n I try to have a stealthfull approach, but u just taught an old dog a new trick, I'm gonna try that 15' from the bank cast as I approach a spot, thanks 4 the tip!

  4. Just a tip to stop bass spitting out you lure, hold your rod tip close to the water when the fish is close, it's alot harder for the fish to jump and shake your lure out. Keep it up, really good YouTube vids, franz from zimbabwe

  5. Man that was a good bass! Lost a monster this Father's Day. Broke me off and took my jitter bug. From what we saw of this thing it was 4-5in wide across the gills while closed and about 18in from nose to "belly button". Man I was literally shaking with excitement. Gotta love bass fishin!
