Top Water Smallmouth Bass

As we are getting ready for the Central Canadian Kayak trail Stop Three (Island Lake) I thought I would go see if we can break down the water and hunt some Smallmouth Bass.
It was a great day on the water with @staggontheline, but would I be able to continue to find the big ones for the tourney?
