In this video I’m sharing my thoughts on summer bass fishing lures, especially for early summer. Y’all give me some suggestions in the comment section for some that I may need to consider adding to the arsenal.

Great video and information. I always have a spinnerbait tied on in the summer. Catch quite a few running over submerged grass.
Green or blue plastic lizard out there on Geneva has produced fairly well for me most trips. Texas rig with a very light bullet sinker.
My go-to lure for summer bassin' is the LiveTarget topwater frog popper. Just today, I had easily a dozen blowups but couldn't hook them.

Z man Crawz Hot Craws in red is my Go to for Smallmouth all summer long but it is great around edges tight to shore for largemouth. I’ll catch fish with it in Maryland when they won’t give anything else a second glance.
You can’t forget the jig! I always have one tied on!
Good tips 👍
/taking notes
how on earth do you fish a ned rig on bait caster?
Love watching you're videos I'm completely new to this kayak thing at 54. I know this isn't the right video for this question but here it is. If you was to fall off or out of your yak should you be tied off to it in some way to keep it from getting away in swift water
Awesome selection. I absolutely crush em with a Berkley Crazy Legs Chigger Craw. Texas rigged for pitching and swimming it over the weeds.
Chad miss miss your show you are awesome. I'm going to modify my frogs right now.
Hey Chad, if you ever come to the fingerlakes in NY I'd love to get out on the lake with you! That would be awesome!
Great stuff, Chad. Also, Good for early morning our evening mid day 🥵Florida
Shallow crankbaits have been working great for me
Got to have a Speedworm on deck at all times
Like the tips and looks a lot like what I throw! Already mentioned that's missing is a fluke. I also like throwing some kind of jig as light as I can get away with (usually but not always 1/4 oz) sometimes a swim jig but usually a lighter arke type. That and I like what Ike calls a small child rig on the TRD. It's just a TRD with a nail weight in the bottom, and a size 1 ewg hook rigged weedles… Thanks, Chad. appreciate the tips…FishOn…jimi
Nice pointers.
Idk about y'all but I've been absolutely destroying them lately on a soft plastic craw as well as topwater obviously.
My go to is the 10 in zoom ol monster in plum color
Cool video Chad! Love the final production on the videos you produce. It all comes together and just "Pops" when you're done. Great info and nice lake. Saw a kayak with you just like mine "Lol!
Is that ned rig on the BFS / medium light Expride? How do you like it?
Swimbait
Chad I like that your wearing the life vest. Very nice safety reminder.
No Jig or Chatter bait? Wonder why not.
I always have a jig tied on fineness or skipping jig
No soft jerk baits… I love the 6th Sense version, Flush 5.2 On the fall it'll dive forward while having a tight shimmy along with a little tail action. Can't believe it doesn't get more hype on YT. Someone needs to do some underwater footage on it.
That popper frog tip by trimming one of the legs shorter is something I’m definitely gonna try out! Thanks chad!
Good tutorial 👌
Saw your running a few exprides like to hear your thoughts on how they are working for you which rod and technique
Great Stuff! Thanks Shipmate!
Hey Chad, thanks for the vid lots of great advice. Do you think you can drop a link to the frog you referred to as the “weedless whopper plopper”? I’m very interested.
Definitely going to have to say the zoom fluke should be tied on at all times in that lake.
When you coming back out to Va?
Pretty cool seeing you at my home lake, can’t wait to get out there with ya!
I fish a local waterway where I'm unable to get a fish to react to a topwater bait? I've tried buzzbaits, hollow body frogs and spook type baits with Zero strikes? The water is (Always) stained with visibility of about a foot (to humans). Anyone who would like to share some advice it would be Greatly appreciated. TIA
