Are you recommending a flipping jig with rubber skirts yet? Like the rb old school jigs?
How about some bank fishing videos? For those of us not lucky enough to have a boat. Love your vids Keep up the great work don't get discouraged by the haters.
Was really looking forward to this video. I’m going to one of Florida’s most well known mud-pits (we have thousands of them here), tomorrow. It’s good to know I’m on the right rack with colors. Would love to know how to go about finding the clear water on a lake. I’ve been wondering how to do that for the longest time (wind, time of year, etc…). P.S. Beautiful little Blaukat you have there!
High Rock is my home lake. I heard a gentleman say once that High Rock was too thin to plow, too thick to drink!! Pretty much sums it up.
Thanks Randy, I appreciate the help!
Would this be the same advice for muddy/tanic stained water in rivers? Rain runoff or tidal influence messes with local rivers here in southeast VA, so the same advice?
thank you
Gold vatalion jerk-jerk-pause near the Banks is money.
Mississippi River. Mpls Minnesota. I was catching smallies right at my feet. Strike kings. Bittsy bug blue rage craw pitching lay downs. Rained a bunch. Water came up. And cloudy the water up. So. What’s Randy telling is fact. Listen and learn. Pupils.🤓😄😄😄
I have fished in cold, muddy water many times when trout fishing. I used 4mil neoprene waders to stay warm, but the water would be so muddy, fish would bump into my legs. I think the neoprene made me hard to "See," hey maybe I was a Stealth Fisher.🤣
I used to write for a Newspaper years ago. I wrote a fly fishing column before the internet. I asked my Editor how to write for the people who might read it.
His reply seems simple, but it worked.
Write what you want to write, people will like it if you like it.
You are not just playing to a BASS audience, there are others like me who are watching as well.
I can understand the lack of enthusiasm for discussion on Live Scope or maybe other controversial topics, because I think people are so tired of the current political Climate, they go to fishing for mental relief. That will still have an effect on the sport though and honestly I don't think you have a choice but to discuss it. You are well respected and your followers will solidify over time. I live in Western Canada, never fished where Bass were, but I've been watching Bass Tournaments since they started. Hang in there, you are a good man!
I fish muddy water often. Great tips. Consider looking into the Missouri made MegaChomp BHO spinnerbait. Super loud and innovative spinnerbait blade design.
I've been pond fishing but when I'm not all the water I fish is muddy thanks for the tips
That kid is looking good Randy. The tips here will really help! Muddy water can be difficult and it can destroy confidence
So many fishermen don’t know about how good that Black and Chartreuse jig can be, I have several I made myself because you can’t hardly find pre made jigs in that color
We have emigrant lake here in southern oregon, it looks like chocolate milk, but holds some incredible small and large mouth
This video takes my memory back to the Deep Water, Grand and Osage arms of Truman.
Chocolate milk water is literally the majority of the lakes and rivers here. The bait disappears as soon as it hits the water. If you can see the lure a foot deep that’s crystal clear here.
Appreciate this one Randy. I’m in Oklahoma and usually fish smaller bodies of water. It’s pretty rare NOT to be in muddy water.
Ohio is exclusively dirty as hell! Only colors i fish is dark colors. It can be pretty tough…
many lakes around me are gin clear strip mine lakes so i always try to target any spot with muddy water contrasting with clear water. seem to do well with that plan
The silty chocolate milk dirty Rio Grande is all brown all NM. Very low visibility
Randy, i really like your channel and do take alot of what you recommend and try to apply it at my local lake. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. I went fishing a week ago and man i crushed the bass, however i went out again today fishing the same spots using the same lures but only managed to catch 1 bass. Water clarity was heavily stained alomst muddy on both days. I dont understand where they went. I did see a few dead baitfish floating on the surface and seen a few baitballs with 3-4 bright dots i figured were bass. They wouldnt bite though no matter what i threw at them.
I was fishin clear water March 29th and had a couple bites but, when I got towards the upper end of the lake it had got real dirty from recent rain. That’s where the fish were. Caught some real nice ones
Does it make a difference if your lake is always muddy? My lake is very small, about a mile round and very rarely has more than a foot of visibility; 0-6” is most common across the whole lake every day. Will the fish still stay shallow or will they get used to it and change behavior
Randy you look very healthy! Looks like you have trimmed down! Hard work pays off!
Much appreciated! You’re motivating me to get my butt off the couch and fish these muddy N. Texas creeks. Especially after all the rain we’ve had recently. Give Elijah a big hug from your Followers, love seeing him, he’s getting Big!Keep up the great work! Semper Fi. 👊🎣💪🇺🇸
Thanks!
Caught me a 2.68 today wacky rig in my awesome 2024 classic XL ! No spotlighting just bass fishing. Living the good life 😊
