Bass fishing is awesome in November! There are bass all over and they’re all feeding! You can catch them shallow or you can catch them deep. You can catch them near current, or out on points. You can catch them chasing bait or gathering on offshore structure! This transitional month is a great time to be on the water!
All you have to do in November is decide which group of fish you want to chase. Do you want to go shallow while there is still a topwater bite? Do you want to go deep and start locating the haunts your fish will use all Winter? The options are endless and so are the baits we use to target them!
Below you’ll find links to Tim’s top bait choices from each category. All the links go directly to Tackle Warehouse where you can see detailed photos and descriptions of the items. We’ve also included a couple of our favorite combos for fishing these different lures.

#November #fishing #bassfishing
waiting for you guys to test the Berkley Stunna jerkbait
Thanks Tim great video
Seen you guys at ocoee valley farms Everything in me was wanting to go up and ask for help, but I had to respect the family time you guys were having. I find myself watching yalls videos the night before I hit the lake but I’m still only decent with a wacky rig on chickamagua and wattsbar. Still learning though.
Your volume is screwed up on your last few videos Man go to watch them first
Down here in NC a lot of the lakes have grass. Throwing a Spinnerbait, Jig, or a weightless rig into and around the grass in 4-12 ft of water seems to do it around here.
Great choices Tim. Thanks man. ✌🏻😎🎣
Thank you for the video! Neko and guppy head.
Would a Ned rig with a 3 inch Gary Yamamoto work this time of year. Ever since the huge weather change I haven’t caught any fish. I’ve caught one small mouth in the last 3 weeks. I’ve been fishing this place called the block hole. I’ve caught striped bass, large mouth, small mouth, freshwater drum, carp, crappie, and bluegill. But here lately I’ve gotten nothing. It’s roughly 40-60 foot deep with a main river feeding it
Thanks, Tim! I appreciate the great content and helpful info.
In all your videos your casting out in deep water rarely do you cast into shore hardly ever what's up?
Probably a pretty good video if you could hear what you're saying
Caught my first 2 speed cranking fish this afternoon on the tactical DD. 4lber as the biggest. Thanks for everything you guys do!
I'm still surprised that spinnerbaits aren't in this video. I've caught a lot of bass last year in October and November on the spinnerbaits
I had my boat break down last weekend right in the creek that we launched at. Since we still had power up front we just trolled around. I caught at least 6 bass on a spy bait within an hour, and it was probabaly the best day of fishing I’ve had since April!!
Ugh the sound
Hey Tim, can you and Matt make a video about how you guys know each other and how Tactical Bassin was created?
Hey Tim, can you and Matt make a video about how you guys know each other and how Tactical Bassin was created?
Hellrazier has that thin wire weakness big fish will bend that out to easily. Great bait but not the strongest.
Tim your audio was terrible bro
Awesome video Tim my conference baits are a jig and a crankbait
Need to rename this to top 50 baits.
Another great video thanks
Hey Tim and Matt, can you recommend a Dobyns rod for an A Rig? Thank you, sure appreciate you guys and all the hard work 👍
I love my wife, but when I hear “welcome back to tactical basin,” it makes the hair on my neck stand up
How can we narrow it down to 5? I have 1,438 different types of lures & 10 colors of each, from watching tactical bassin' buyers guides! 😆
👏👏 Absolutely nailed it again Tim,thank you ❤🤙
This doesn’t have to do with top five baits, but I have a question about braid to leader. What would you say the “rules” are for tying leader to braid? Should you always tie a lower pound test leader to braid, is there a certain pound difference they should be? Just curious as it seems braid to leader is becoming more and more the go to in bass fishing.
Jerkbait for sure is my favorite 2nd fluke on the river mid diving crank on the lake then it would have to be a Texas rigged senko and finish up with a jig twin tail grub
Tim, here in the southwest coast, I throw a lipless crank and yo-yo it off the bottom, below the Shad schools, and the bass hammer them. I can cover a ton of water on a 1/2-3/4 oz lipless. It resembles a dying baitfish and the bass can’t resist it….Surprised you didn’t have this in your selection for Nov.
I am learning that the swim jig is my friend in shallow grass.
Great advice as always. Any recommendations for South Florida pond fishing or Headwaters Lake for November? Weather is still in the upper 60s at night and low to mid-80s in the day with water temps still around 78-80
My Number 1: Weighless Big EZ
My Number 2: Big EZ with a 1/4. belly weight, and sometimes an underspin, to reach deeper water
Do you just cast a spybait out, count it down to desired depth and real back? With pauses? Without? Do you twitch them?
Whopper Plopper and Owner underspin with a 3 inch sexy shad Keitech.
Keep up the good work. Jesus Name.
Man did you guys see the new Picasso a-rigs the look sweet and also their new shakey head with a chatter bait blade on it looks different
Great video! Cool you included the helaraizer, got one when they first came out, it’s doing great!
Great video! I love the what lures to throw by month videos. I'm in Indiana and I've been catching them on spinnerbaits and underspins. In fact, the Largo Shad setup that you show your catch on in this video is the exact set up I use. I also have success on the Dark Sleeper (this thing catches fish!!!) and the wacky rigged Senko (that's my go-to anytime I need a bite). Swimming a lipless has also been effective. Love all the knowledge you and Matt share. I've only been bass fishing for a =bout 3-4 years, but I've learned a ton just from watching you videos.
Waiting for that hellraiser video………………………………………….lololol
If you don't have the money to buy all those baits, what would be the one to use for pond fishing?
Once I find the fish I plan to use the z-man micro finesse with a 1/32 oz head, what rod would be light enough to cast it?
Confidence baits for me are the 1/8oz 1/0 flashy swimmer with a 2.8 or 3.3 kietech and 6” fat roboworm nose hooked on a drop shot
You mean fish bite in the fall! Could have fooled me!
I’m surprised lipless didn’t make the cut .
Have either of you tried the Jackall iProp? It is my favorite and a fish catcher. It has a great shimmy on the fall and just the right weight for an ultra slow retrieve. I highly recommend that you try them if you haven't already. Thanks for all the amazing videos guys!!! 🤙
Great video, it's looking like I may not get out again. The Temps have dropped fast lol, but I guess it's time for some much needed boat maintenance 😢
My leaves right now are forming mats. Would you use a frog through the leaves?
I love throwing a 3/8-1/2 oz jig still this time of year, definitely a confidence technique of mine as well as a neko rig. Other favorites are the Alabama rig and a mid diving crankbait.
I love fall but these leaves really mess my top water bite up!
