Too HOT to Fish? Realistic Bass Fishing in Early Summer Heat Wave

Can it ever be too hot to fish? Today on Realistic Fishing we are fishing for bass in this early summer heat wave. I am out at 7:30 am and its already 84 degrees! By 8:30 its 87 degrees and getting hotter. The early morning is your best chance at finding bass from the bank. I like to fish in shadows and near cover. I tried 4 different lures today to catch a total of three fish. Two of todays catches were bass, and one was a bluegill. I caught bass on the Lucky Strike Worm, and the Salmo Minnow. Past 9:00 its too hot for me to fish. Good luck to you if you try fishing in this summer heat wave. #fishing #realistic

  1. In extreme hot weather, i fish deeper water. Now at night ill fish slightly shallow water. But either way deep water structure ive found to be the key. Prefered soft plastic are gary yomomito in june bug color. Works all year long for me.

  2. I picked up a bag of culprit worms in black, I've heard black is a great old school color that just works and a simple ribbon tail worm is a confidence bait for me.

  3. It's been tough for me as well. Hardly caught a thing at the local creek the other day. Just a few small bluegill and redbreast. Shiners always biting though. No bass or other fish. I might try out some nighttime catfishing very soon. I wouldn't mind catching some to eat. I miss having blackened catfish.

  4. Cant wait to get back out there. I got 2 baby boys now, so fishing is on hold for a bit. I live through your videos. Keep up the great content and keep it realistic.

  5. When it gets this hot (85 by 09:00 in KY) – I hit the creeks and look for moving water. Its usually cooler and there's a variety of fish that are more active than the lake bass. Plus, its refreshing to wade after work for an hour or two.

  6. That heat has been something serious for real. Cool that you were able to find a few out there. Those lucky strikes are great unintiminating little lures for the bass in extreme temps. Great job keeping it real as always homie
