I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. Hey Matt, you may already know this, but I just learned Colorado state record Crappie was caught on a hover rig. 18.25inches. Hope it was a Core Tackle rig.

I hear Forward Facing Sonar is easier to use than Backward Facing Sonar. I tend to agree with that perspective. GO GET EM MATT!

Man, I always have faith you will find a bite- you may not find the winning bite, but you seem to always find enough of a bite to keep yourself in contention at the least. Sounds like you found some quality fish, even if you don't get a lot of bites- might be enough to get the job done. I don't envy you guys right now- conditions are flip flopping back and forth and it's awful early in the year- not an easy time to catch fish. Good luck with it man, I'll definitely be watching and pulling for the Steffan family win.

The majority of the fish and in 15 to 20 ft timber.
Is it any surprise the wheeler and connell are crushing the field. They dont share information in that crew though.
