Tidal Bass Fishing on the Chickahominy River – Low Tide Challenge!

I’m on the Chickahominy River fishing a falling tide and trying to track down some bigger-than-average bass in this tidal system. I started near the launch with low light and a bit of current, working different parts of the river — grass lines, duck blinds, and channel swings — to locate feeding fish.

With a mix of topwater, reaction baits, and flipping setups on deck, it was all about adjusting to the tide and conditions. Some bites were aggressive, others were missed, and a few surprises showed up along the way.
