Question, do you let the worm do the sinking slowly by itself or do you use like a nail weight or a weighted hook
Yum Dingers work like magic. Maybe I'll give Stickos or Yamamotos a try. I like to keep it all braid, as knots can cause some issues. I can get one to last all day. I use some plastic shrink tubing to keep mine on rather than an o ring.
How long is your leader and what knot do you tie? Thanks.
Trick stick and dinger
I'v been using True Turn hooks. I like 90% of the time they hook the corner of the mouth .
I fish the Strike King OCHO!! Love it.
so , no weights or sinkers needed?
great tips…i love braid but hate the trouble of tying leader on but u convinced me to fish a wacky this way
What size vmc neko do you like to use?
Can you post your links for your rod and real again? Links aren’t working. I tried to enter manually for the reel and that didn’t work either. Thanks. Great video!
I tried this rig for about three hours in a large lake and nothing.. I tried different techniques when pulling it in.
Please don’t take any offence but your hook was improperly inserted into your worm . Those rings are made for every day use and not for tournaments. The hook needs to go through the egg sack of the worm without the ring. This will turn your worm 90 degrees which allows for a more natural fall/appearance and you will double/triple your fish count. Hope this helps everyone that reads/understands this reasoning.
I just got back from SC two weeks ago and the wacky was definitely the ticket for the week. Your tip on the longer shank weedless hook is something I'm definitely going to implement on my next outing. Great tutorial and earned a sub.
With the O ring, I've had a single senko last a few hours easy with plenty of hits. Key is having the O ring though
I use high vis 8 lb mono.
I like the strike king shim sticks. Those have heavy salt content and there are a lot of good color options for them
what size hooks? 1/0?
Why do people not like to talk googan baits? Just curious
Good job
No disrespect bruh but That's a lie about Yum baits worms. I caught a 12 pound bass on a yum and tons of bass on yum bait worms even catfish that were over 8 pounds. it doesn't take special bait to catch fish. YUM worms are reasonable priced and they do the same job.
🥶
This is my "they're being stubborn today" go-to. Kind of surprised you don't use the wacky rig as more of a slow moving search bait. I do the same as you with letting it sink to the bottom first, but I've caught many a bass (especially on days when they're fickle) by gently jigging it 2-3 times and then letting it sink again during the retrieve, rinse and repeat. Fall, lift lift lift, fall, lift lift lift, fall etc. Covers a lot more water and can get reaction bites. In fact I've caught more during such a retrieve than on the initial fall. Worth a shot when they're being picky!
Links don't work for several items
This is probably the best wacky rig video fishing tutorial I've seen on YouTube. Simple and to the point
The plastic worm it is one bait that will catch bass year round I never go fishing without a worm and jig tied on 👍
Yamamoto 10 lb mono suffix green pumpkin red flake I don't even worry about any other color or bait it catches that's what I use. But I may try to braid trick Because sometimes it is hard to see if that fish bit and sometimes it is too late.
Thank you for being so simple and descriptive for us beginners!
Googan soft baits are overrated
What line you using? Link dont work
Thanks for the great video on Wacky Rigs!! I have had success using this method!! Amazing how the fish just go crazy for it!!🐟🐟🐟
