I love exploring tackle shops in the U.S. so we stopped at Hammond’s Fishing Center on Lake Lanier and did a walk thru. This tackle shop is crazy – it looks like a log cabin and is piled high with fishing lures, fishing rods, and even crazy epic live bait tanks with Herring, Minnows and more!!!! Tim owns Hammonds and he’s a good friend so he tooks some time to walk us through the shop and tell us a bit about fishing Lake Lanier, spotted bass, largemouth bass, and local custom swimbaits that I thought were crazy cool!

if im spending 100 bucks an more for a swimbait I'm just gonna go with a jdm one like a deps, or megabass or klash vs these custom ones cause some of these jdm baits have multiple uses an can do different things with them vs a regular custom bait that only has one use.

I wish I could ever justify spending $100+ on ANY swimbait. cause there’s a couple id love to have, but then i’d also need to buy all new gear to throw it on. so that $100+ bait just turned into buying $2/300+ in gear. so yeah. lol

What's funny is Mike long is one of the reasons big swim baits got so popular. Little did everyone know it was a false hope. The sad reality is most anglers who catch big bass they keep what they catch them on a secret. But then they make a promotion deal with a bait company to promote there bait. So than a bait that hasn't even truly been proven blows up and people go crazy for them. The sad truth is there is a lot of deceiving in the fishing world.

I recognize that place! That's Hammond's! I go there like every week and fish Lanier. I was just there two days ago matter of fact
I'm not talking "custom" baits, just your average rattletraps/cranks/and tops, whatever. the prices today are easily a deterrence to kids trying to wet a line.
