Most of my spots down here in Florida are to snotty and muddy for a ned, but its one of my go to baits when I go up to Tennessee. If I ever get over to the Santa Fe I'm sure I'll use one, really the only river we have with rocks.

3/8 or 1/4 oz jig head with a swimbait and rig the drop shot on top however u like , catch more fish cause the weight is not going to get a bite

Put the Ned on the bottom of your rig plus add a drop shot rig to it , leave the Ned rig as ur bait and weight then put a drop shot on top of it , making it 2 ways to catch a bass Drop shotting , and u don’t always have to use it with the Ned Rig , you can use also with a swimbait , with any type of weight , on the bottom , why use a cylinder weight if the grass is not bad
