  1. I use a Yum swimming dinger, Zoom speed worm, or even a Trick worm with the tail split. Less profile allows the bait to come through cover and weeds better and lets the bait run a little bit deeper.

  2. Instead of a beaver bait, try the Geecrack Bellows Shad as a trailer, has the flat belly to keep it from rolling but has an added tail action that is amazing , also helps with ticking your chatterbait off the top of grass

  3. "See how it's already wanting to roll"…as you manually roll the chatterbait on it's side. And then with the beaver trailer, you can clearly see you're not allowing it to go on it's side like you did the swimbait trailer. These channels need to stop spewing BS just to have content.

  4. Haha 😂 priceless I figured you might be doing a chatterbait video right after I last comment on your previous vid! Also I would recommend the cross-eyed chatterbait by ZMan paired with the brand new “Crush-City” crawler trailers by Rapala…the wire weed guard prevents hang ups and the crawler trailers help the vibrating jig from rolling and snagging on limbs or logs 🪵.

  5. Do u ever snip about ⅜ off the nose of your trailer to shorten the length up a bit? Just wondering, I do on the rage claws.. (I think that's their name, there's so dang many different names, I'm still trying to learn them all…)

  6. What chatterbait do you guy think is best in open water? I troll open water for trout, and chatterbaits are very effective in that application, but which one is best? Thanks

  7. Ya always have great info. Here's the thing though. That Bugatti of Bass Boats doesn't go well with the "Uncle Bobby" camp chair. Maybe upgrade your chair…. lol. My comment is meant in good fun. Keep up the great work.

  8. Bass pro shops sell their own brand of a bladed jig called an “Enticer”. It has a vibrating jig type of head and blade, but it has a swing head style of hook connection with an 4/0 EWG hook. Its not super expensive either. It does ok in wood especially when compared to a typical Chatterbait.

  9. I want to see a mix of a flat bodied bait with either a straight tail like say a spunk shad or a boot tail like a Keitech very niche bait but it could be good, also and alternative to this problem is the chatterbait crosseyez by Z-Man the biggest thing I have against it is the components are not as good as a jackhammer

  10. I love fishing a bladed jig in timber and laydowns, but I never use a Keitech-style swimbait. Normally, I prefer a fluke-type trailer with little to no kick. Try it one time and just look at the difference how your bladed jig moves in the water. Around timber, I like a Jackhammer Stealth with a Missile Baits D-Bomb as a trailer.

  11. The zman crosseyez has a weedguard and when combined with your tip, I run them through wood and brush piles. I made it through all last season and only lost one crosseyez. The crosseyez is my main zman chatter bait from the bank. I don’t know why zman just doesn’t add the wire guards from the crosseyez to all of their chatterbaits? They can always be pulled out if you prefer not to have the weed guards … if your willing to try a different brand, Picasso’s heavy cover vibrating jigs have weed guards and are beefier than the crosseyez. I have an entire box for the crosseyez and Picasso heavy cover. Whereas, I only have 4 mini maxes and 4 evos on hand which only get used in open water, grass situations.

  12. I've been using slobber knockers a lot as well and I have noticed that it doesn't get hung hardly at all around wood. And I believe it's because of the blade and head design. The way the blade pinned through the head keeps it from rolling. And for the chatterbait junkies out there, I'm not saying that one is better than the other. I use both and have caught tons of fish on both. Just making an observation.

  13. I Make My Own I Make My Chatterbait With Weed Guards BUT I Don't Use The Standard Stranded Weed Guards I Use an Old School Weed Guards  That I Can Only Get From One Place
