I grew up 15 minutes from Lay Lake. That lake holds a lot of history both personally and in the fishing world. Lay Lake has hosted multiple professional-level tournaments many of which I was a spectator of. On the personal side, I cut my teeth on this lake. My first spotted bass was caught on Lay Lake. This tournament just has me in the mood to reminisce a bit but also chopping at the bit to get out there.

Man DC I would about gaurentee a non tournament recreational day on the lake fishing with you would be one hell of a good time probably be slow going catching fish cause our constant laughing would probably scare the the fish away as soon as we find them and it only get worse when that happens cause the slower yhe fishing the more im cracking jokes but im also crCking jokes when im steadily busting their heads in too so either way it would make entertaining content fo sho you have made it in my top 3 favorite fishermen on character alone and your ability to eyeball the weight of the fish you catch within a ounce like i can eyeball a bag of bud within a gram when most catch 3 and call it a 6 every fish with no proof when probally 80 percent of the time the official call out tbe weigbt within 3 oz its the o es that are just built different like some of those 15 -18 inch meat ball bass that were built like. Brick Shit house at Toledo Bend that that you was off more then then a pound and u underestimated
