Do you enjoy fishing in the winter or would you just rather wait until the spring gets here?
Rookie here, tried carolina rigs this winter, definitely gonna give this a shot next time I go out!
Iโm also a power bait fisherman but thereโs one thing the cold weather has shown me is to slow down thatโs for sure
The very first jig I ever bought was a Denny Brauer Pro Model in Electric Blue. Saw him use it on tv and had to have it – could only afford one though! I still have it. Should be using that color more often.
I have been doing good with the zman flashback in the 1/16and 1/8oz sizes.the 1/16 i have been using a 2in sassy shad and the 1/8 a 3in sick fish
I would never have thought about catching bass in winter before. This is the first year I even tried it. Wish I would have done it sooner because there's some good fish to catch
Caught one on a small lipless crank bait I got at Walmart. I was reeling it slow and just over some grass. The bass were right where they were supposed to be.
What a great start to 2024! I do think that a lot of anglers go too fast or use lures that are too big for what the fish want in winter.
I haven't been fishing because it's too cold and windy. I like fishing but I like not freezing to death more ๐
Great video with lots of info! I sometimes use a small ball head jig off a dock with a Z-Man ned bait and have caught some bass and a few crappie.
I use a TRD bait on a ned and do good with that. I never thought about just cutting a worm in half. Seems just as good and cheaper since you get more baits like that.
Not as enjoyable as spring but I still get out occasionally in the winter. I have caught some nice bass in winter.
