This Japanese Bass Fishing Technique Actually Works?!
In this video, I decided to try a unique Japanese fishing technique to see if I could get some heavily pressured bass to bite. These neighborhood ponds get fished pretty regularly, so getting bites isn’t always as simple as throwing the same baits everyone else is using.
I’ve been wanting to experiment with some different techniques, and this Japanese-style presentation caught my attention. It’s definitely a little different from the way I normally fish, but sometimes showing pressured bass something they don’t see every day is exactly what it takes.
I headed out to the ponds and started putting the technique to the test. It didn’t take long to find out whether these bass were willing to eat it!
One of the things I want to do more of with The Outlier Angler is try techniques, baits, and fishing spots that are a little outside the ordinary. Whether that means exploring an overlooked pond, fishing a tiny creek, trying an unusual lure, or testing a technique from another part of the world, I want to see what actually works and bring you guys along for it.
If you enjoy bass fishing, pond fishing, bank fishing, fishing experiments, and trying different techniques for pressured bass, consider subscribing. There are plenty more fishing adventures on the way.
Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever tried this technique—or if there’s another unusual bass fishing technique you think I should test in a future video.
Thanks for watching The Outlier Angler!
