  1. Great stuff Randy. Next episode: Why the Bulldog can't catch a cold on a frog. I am 0 for ?? on my frogs. Small ones, big ones, slow fast different colors, poppers non-poppers. I need a froggin' therapist.

  2. Informative! I fish a few lakes that are mostly 15/20 deep but have thermoclines that are around 8/9 ft deep, eliminating a lot of water and structure but still are hard to find a lot of numbers of fish? You’d think they would be bunched up somewhere on the lake.

  3. Im strugglin to catchem because its a 105 in NE Texas. My fat a$$ is in the house 😂 after 9:00. They have been on small walking topwater, smaller spinnerbaits and tried and true Redshad Culprits. Will go again in morning (Saturday). Work life interrupts my fishin during the week

  4. Well, I’m not catching fish in August cause I ain’t fishing then. It’s been 104-108 for 3 weeks straight here in Texas and I not go if I knew I could catch a 9lber. It just sucks being outside.

  5. Too hot where I live. Just not worth it when it’s 90-95 degrees an hour after sunrise. I’ll get back out late September and October. Yes, I’m a fair weather angler.😂

  6. All I've used this summer is a crankbait, and I've been smashing them left and right. Shallow, deep, rocky banks, shell beds, structure. I've been catching them everywhere. Strike king 1.5 silent squarebills and 1.5 deep diving squarebills have been my bread and butter recently

  7. Thanks for the tips. Fortunately, the largemouth are chasing shad in the lake I fish in VA. Early in the morning, I’ve had good success w/ the chug bug when they’re breaking the surface, and the rooster tail below the surface. Caught a 2.75 largemouth on my 1st cast w/ the rooster tail yesterday morning.

  8. Go big or go home! I’ve caught enough 1-2 lb dinks to last a lifetime. I’m looking for 5lb+ bass, so I use large baits most of the year. I’ve been skunked a lot but also have caught a lot 10lb+ bass since I switched to only using larger baits about 2 yrs ago.

  9. Early morning and evening fishing is were it’s at. Nothing is better than fishing in the scorching sun with no action then when the sun starts to go down the bass come in to feed on everything that also moves in also.

  10. You make a smile come across my face when you say not "you guys up north", us darn Yankees! 😅 Everyone has been dealing with high heat this year but me. We've only got in the 90's three days this summer. But ice out happened the last week of March. But the smoke from Canada has been bad. Yes I'll start small this time of year and work up if need be.

  11. I was struggling until we finally got some rain. As soon as the water level came up a little I have been catching smallies, largemouth, and walleye. All on artificial.
