In my opinion, the jerkbait is the best striped bass lure of all time. It can be fished slow or fast and can stay in one place like no other lure. And can appeal to hungry fish or inactive fish and can even be used to catch bass, salmon, or any predatory fish. The Stripers are now showing up in the system but you still kinda have to work them. Get some grippers you're going to rip your hand up grabbing them like that with them hooks and I got news for you any lure you throw in the water they're going to hit they come from up underneath and hit the nose of the lure you usually catch them on the front hooks all I use is surface walk the dog lures #1 For striper fishing

We don’t ever use nets either. Nor can we lift the fish out of the water with the rod , unless it’s schoolies, which are too small. Best eating though. HAHAHAHAHAHA
Don’t grab the gills. Thumb the bottom lip an not injure them.
They alway go for the head. That’s why you won’t need a middle hook to get in your hands.
A single hook on the back. The blue fish will go for the tail. Not usually Stripers. They hit by the head.

Jerk bait directly on a braided line or is it better to have a braided main line and fluorocarbon as the leader? Does it matter if you jerk against the current or with the current. Wonder if the action differ. Thanks.
