I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.

Great fund raiser & St Jude does so much for all the children & families with cancer. I remember when Danny Thomas started it and how it has helped so many families.

Welcome aboard Matt, St Jude is a great organization . About the only one to give 100 % of donations to the cause. Check out UGF you are lucky if 5 cents out of a $1.00 goes to the clause. A great organization , I believe it was started by Danny Thomas.

You guys have BIG hearts! That is a tough thing to see when an innocent child is in danger of losing their life.
I was involved with the Make a Wish Foundation for a little while, and unfortunately, I had to stop being part of the events. It broke my heart, and I felt helpless standing with the children and families. You 2 will make a great team.
Sara, Matt, we'll be waiting on the call! St. Jude is special to our family. Some 45 years ago, my middle sister's oldest daughter was diagnosed with childhood leukemia when she was only five. They sent her to St. Jude the next day where she began and underwent treatment for many years. Treatments were much harsher back then and it was always tough to see her at holidays without her hair. Thankfully she survived and now has a family of her own. St. Jude is truly an amazing place.

Sounds like a fun weekend! Our niece had a childhood cancer around our kids age. She’s in college now but they had so much support back then because of organizations like this!

There are several children here in my county that are either being treated at St. Jude's or have been. My neighbors child passed away when she was a senior in high school after years long battle with cancer. All my kids grew up healthy, We have been so blessed. Thanks to you both for everything you do Matt and Sarah. I will help anyway I can.

Matt, it's so nice to have a wife and kids who support and participate in fishing activities with you when it's your occupation and purpose in life. Sarah is not only intelligent, she's also beautiful. It's really nice to be a small part of your lives. We really enjoy your videos and can't believe you can do one a day. It has to take a lot of effort and we do appreciate it.
Both my God daughter and my God son went to St. Jude. They eventually both passed for different reasons but St. Judes was incredible. My wife and I give every year. Thank you for your support they are an incredible organization.
Great to see the “better half” again. I left the tournament trails w years ago but I still fish the local benefit tournaments. I came in 3rd at one of the first ones I fished in and driving home I felt to guilty by taking a winning check. Once I go home I called the tournament director and told him I will be donating this check to the cause. I have been blessed beyond measures and I do not need the money for these tournaments, so if I win any money in these charity’s I donate it back to them after it is all over. I wait until the crowd leaves, I do not need the attention, the benefit cause is the major attraction and needs.
