  1. Can you give me some info on where is the best areas closest to the Gulf State pier for a kayak beach launch? I will be coming down May 31-June 7 for family vacation and am trying to gain the most info I can since I have never been to this area. Can you please help me out?

  2. We had a fish kill in Galveston bay in the late seventies. We went out with a net and scooped up a cooler full of all species. The water freezes on top ,I think because of the huge rain before the freeze. I’m so shocked that it happened in the gulf. By the way in Texas we never said Gulf of Mexico. Just the gulf. I’m in Hawaii now for twenty years. Don’t miss the cold but I definitely miss fishin the flats and gulf. Love the channel and plan a trip to the mainland soon and want to book a trip with y’all.

  3. It is normal to have silver mullet die on artic fronts. It's just nature. Happen many times. Blue crabs, black mullet, and 95% of species survive. Silver Mullet dont do good in the cold. Didn't hurt the fishery.

  4. SHOULD HAVE WENT BACK INTO THE creek inlet. My boy lives there and took pictures of literally thousands of dead fish behind his house. And I mean thousands. IVE SEEN THE PICS. HAVE THEM ON MY PHONE.

  5. What's so bad about a regularly occurring event? Literally any big freeze will result in a fish kill, mainly being mullet and croaker. This is nothing new or alarming in any way, shape, or form. But hey, whatever gets you the clicks 🤣🤣🤣

  6. The fish head for the deepest water there is. I guess some fish are dummies.😂 The Texas Wildlife restricts areas because the fish congregate and are to easy to wipe out. I really thought we would get a vid of you or your group fishing while it was snowing? We got snow but not as much as Y’all.

  7. Its probably going to take several weeks for things to get back to what your normal is. Of the fish who survived, they most likely headed for deeper water to keep from freezing. Got to love Global Warming. Yes I know, its warming, not snowing. But as the planet warms, there will be more moisture in the air. It has go come down, sooner or later. Stay safe.
