  1. I'm on the fence with regards to many of your opinions and views but this one I can agree with. Same with golf – too many antiquated and stupid rules that take away the fun and assess too harsh of penalties on participants.

  2. Cheating sucks! In our club 4 men have FFS and the rest can’t afford it. One of those 4 guys win every tournament. And the rest of us fish for 5th place. That’s cheating as well.

  3. Randy, do you live in your truck ? Seems like most of your videos are done in your truck. 😂 😂 Really enjoy your perspective on the fishing industry and bass fishing in particular.

  4. Tournament rules are like laws. Every once in a while they need to be cleaned up because times have changed. In addition, some states DNR need to do better. Which speaks directly to your IDLE buoy comment. Just fished Green River last weekend. There no wake and no ski buoys are identical and you have to be almost on top of them to read which it is. Depending on the water official and body of water. You have to be off plain before you reach the buoy, some are at the buoy, others will allow so far past the buoy. Now as far as safety items and laws. It should be part of check-in. In fact, you shouldn't get your boat number or pairing until your fishing license is confirmed as valid, livewell checked, and life vest is inspected. Now this doesn't disqualify you by any means. Instead have extra life vest on hand and allow them to be purchased, you can buy a fishing license from your cell phone. As long as they correct the violation, they can still fish. Otherwise you go home, but at least your not on the water all day and come back and get disqualified for something stupid. The to many fish in the live well, could be easily addressed without disqualifying somebody. If your at check in with to many fish, weigh each fish and the largest one gets released. Call it reverse culling. If you pass the marina buoys and haven't made it to check in. Check your livewell and if there are to many, that's your chance to release your extra if you screwed up, but once your checked in. That's it, no more chances to correct the error.

  5. I used to watch your videos to get pointers about fishing and learn new techniques here lately all you have been doing is complaining and crying I will unsubscribe now have a good day

  6. Good video Randy. Cheating happens in most tourneys. It is why I quit doing tournaments. Receiving info from local guides, having a friend sit in a hole, chumming up a brush pile, trimming the tails of a upper limit bass, people find ways to give themselves an advantage to win money. Money ruins the sport of bass fishing.
I also agree about getting rid of silly rules such as getting out of the boat. But those that are a matter of breaking the law such as too many fish in the live well, trespassing, not having a license , ….those need to stay as tournament rules. Breaking them accidentally is not an excuse. Lots of sports have rules where you accidentally do something and the punishment cost them the game.
    Have a good day Randy.

  7. I’ve seen it first hand with different boats pooling fish to win. Sons fish in one boat fathers in other boat couldn’t prove it but one team would have a big bag the other nothing . What do you think. This was bass club level. Don’t fish tournament s anymore . Anyone that fished these mega big bass tournaments and believes there no cheating they are delusional

  8. Ya know the best way to get around rules you don't like, start your own tour and make your own rules. It's like going to someone's house and bitching about their rules…

  9. Here's the problem with intent. You can fudge that too. Take Poche jumping the dam. He could have asked the tournament officials if he could do that, but for whatever reason decided not to. Whether it was his intention or not, he created plausblie deniability. That old saying " it's better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission" type thing. We'll never know Poches intent.

  10. Polygraph is the same as a pad lock. All it does is keep honest people honest. Cheaters will find a way. It's also my opinion that if you watch these guys, they will tell you they're cheating in their actions, manners, and sometime silence is a window into their malicious acts.

  11. Sitting here wanting to get into tournament fishing, and these video's says dont do dont do it…

But still trying to plan a tournament next year for my mens club

  12. I was involved in a polygraph program in the military, I have absolutely no faith in it!!! You can be taught how to cheat it, that and it's the examiner who determines the lie not the machine. It's garbage. And YES there are some really dumb rules, like no jet boats. A jet system has an impeller and doesn't cut or chop fish or wildlife. Why the rule? Steering over a tiller, why? And others dumb rules! I say a marshal in every boat and to pay for it knock some off the grand prize.

  13. Yeah, let's talk about tournaments!!!! I went on the Tournament regatta site for the water patrol division and I printed off the number of tournaments on Tablerock this year compared to Bull Shoals. Tablerock will have had from February 2023 to December 2023, 426 tournaments. Bull Shoals will have had 72. Let's talk about the tournaments that are out of control and the quality of fish that has dwindled to nothing! Ridiculous is what it is! Tablerock sucks because of it!!! 😡😡

  14. The ones that keep illegally caught bass & other dishonest acts in fishing, ironically are big supporters of livesvope.. obviously not ALL of them are, but a big %….Money is typically involved in some form

  15. I was co-angling a few years ago. The other guy was ripping a crankbait through some shallow water and foul hooked a 4 lb bass. No hooks in the mouth, both hooked into the side. He drug it in, unhooked it, and put it in the livewell. I asked him if it was foul hooked and he looked and me and said "What are you gonna do, tell on me?" I didn't and I know I should have.
