  1. Instead of using 2 crisscross O rings you can get larger O rings and double them over on the wackey tool. Just put the hook through were the O ring crosses over itself. You can find bigger O rings in the plumbing section of Lowes or Home Depot. I usually keep 1 tool of each on the boat

  2. I use the VMC collar on my wacky rigs and/or neko rigs. It saves alot of baits for me.
I also have started making my own baits. Angling AI now has a mold for making a collar (looks exactly like the egg sack), You then shoot the bait and it molds it all together. This lets me shoot any color combo I want. For a nightcrawler- I shoot brown and then a slightly lighter tan egg sack. Oh, the other nice things: I make the collar with salt water sinking durometer (hardest) plastisol; makes the bait sink faster. I shoot the rest of the bait in worm blend floating durometer (soft) plastisol, this gives ultimate movement. The ultra hard SW blend is tough enough not to tear and the worm blend keeps the movement.

  3. I put a peice of clear shrink tubing on my stick baits for wacky rigs and put my hook through the shrink tubing and it saves so many baits. I can also put a nail weights through the shrink tubing perpendicular to the bait and it helps hold the bait from slipping out of the shrink tubing. Crushed them on it last year in the spawn. No bite deterrent and less loss of baits. On a side note I really like that Goby Bryant bait you showed. Gonna try that one.
