On this episode of TRF, I’m sitting down to talk about the soft plastic jerkbait, or the “Fluke”! It’s widely known as one of the best soft plastics out there, and when the bass are feeding on baitfish, fishing the fluke is one of the best ways to catch em! I even tell a few secret tips that no one really remembers when fishing the fluke! SUBSCRIBE if you enjoyed this content, and SHARE this video with someone who you think might want to learn from it!

I think that's my problem I've been making shorter casts because I have not been able to catch them on flukes ……

your a pro my brother you weren't even trying no fair Tyler

gbu !!!!
Tyler do you ever enter tournaments.
What if my pond only has bluegill as forage, would a white fluke be a good idea?
What color fluke should i use for dirty and clean water? Also, are they good for this time of year?
What size hook would you use for a 5" fluke? Would a 3/0 weighted hook work?
I started with slug go from herb reed. The fluke is still one of my favorite baits
Love the slug go… still got some from over 25 years ago. Lol caught some bass on them a couple months ago actually.
was the fluke a 4"?
great info as always. you did video and I can't find date for it but you fished lake in Texas had a bad reputation for no fish or small fish and you went and caught them on the rip rap, would like to see more of that content maybe pick a bad lake once a month or so, thanks and keep up the good work.
What’s on your hat
Is your rod a medium with moderate tip?
Does anyone have a link for the hooks
I love zoom flukes I caught a 2lb bass on a salty zoom super flukes today I'm excited
Thank u for your tips it really helped me from South Africa
Great stuff
Man, the videos you produce are consistently excellent. I've learned a ton watching you.
I also really appreciate how upfront you are about your sponsors.
I’ve heard of skimming flukes acrossed the surface for top water wiper’s. How would I fish that? Weightless?
Thank you Tyler.
My man said “spook” you gotta watch that nowadays dude that’ll get you in trouble

Being a better bass angler should start with not being lazy and using a net, not even 10 seconds and you’re flinging fish around like they are lures.
I don't think anyone noticed the older footage edited in at the end. Lol. Whats up with the diss to MLF?
What fluke color should i try? White? Green? Blue?
What’s your favorite color fluke to use?
I m n S. Fl. & the Watermelon Red fluke is my go 2 bait. Caught 1,000 + on it.
Great video Tyler. Nice that you were able to school Jr. at the end.
It's a good thing
Thank you so much for the tip on the hooksets !
TRF: Accidentally catches fish on the first cast.
Me: Accidentally catches log on 5th straight cast.
Mr. T called. He wants his gold ring back
you are pretty knowledgeable for a kid!
Good video!
Fished them on a mojo rig with 1/8 weight through and on top of deep grass. 8-10' water with grass about 4' high. Killer set up.
I've caught them really well in very choppy water like twenty+five mph winds, you have to really twitch it with a fast tip rod and maybe pause it on the retrieve to let them find it, but they will still hammer it, like knock the rod out of your grip hammer it
can you texas rig this if you dont have any belly weight hooks on you?
If you do a miz of texas and a wacky rig it makes the fish look like it injured caught 5 bass in an hour and a half using this
3:48 where he rigs them
Hey hey I just watched one of your videos saying not to use a baitcaster for soft plastics like a fluke.
I love flukes
Man Tyler is helping me out so much with seasonal baits I’m definitely gonna have to use this in the fall time
Caffeine shads are the bomb. GYBC D shad is also excellent.
Gig 'em! any honey holes hints here in CS?
Hey Tyler! I know this is a couple of months late but what hook do you use for the fluke? I was thinking of getting Gamakatsu’s belly weighted swimbait hooks but didn’t like the twist lock on it. Thanks man!
Great Video. Gig'Em
