There are a lot of dumb fishing LURES and fishing a hair jig for bass is one of my favorites! In this video I teach you a few tips and techniques for fishing a hair jig for bass – how to use your fishing rod for different retrieves as well as what kind of fishing rod and fishing line you need to try this technique. It’s a very old school way to catch fish but it works especially in late summer and fall when fish tend to suspend in lakes due to oxygen content or the development of a thermocline.

Hello, why are you fishing with fluorocarbon line and not with line? We always fish only with 4-core or 8-core cords; the cords have no stretch and much better sensitivity.

Iβve experienced a school go nuts for my spinner bait on the fall every cast, but it doesnβt do the trick lately. And for me a spinner bait is pure power fishing. When youβre using fluorocarbon do you use backing (old braid or monofilament), or do you spool the reel with 100% fluorocarbon? Love hair jigs. Itβs a blast when the fish go crazy on a hair jig bite…nothing dumb about it at those times!
