These are my favorite swimbait colors and in my opinion the only colors you need in your tackle box! They work for largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass!

My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/
I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I’ve been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I’ve qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.
Favorite all around clear water for Great lakes Smallmouth is called firecracker.
Somewhat clear body with multiple colors in it. It just works in all conditions. And I'm not stuck using all the time, but I do find myself ending up with it often.
Matt, you should for sure try straight black. That has been very good for me on smallmouth in clear water.
Hello from the Bosphorus. We follow your channel with interest.Thank you for your technical information videos. We request Turkisch subtitles for your broadcasts.Greetings from Istanbul, the city of bluefish.
I think pink is underrated (I sure did) in stained/te-water, got a few packs of the powerbait power swimmer in cotton candy and they have been smashed this season when the weather has been clear but the water a bit "dirty".
Other then that, kinda spot on the way I think about it, but did't stop me from buying every color of my favorite bait. xD (D'fin from daiwa)
Like your choices
. Cheers Matt
Great color recommendations .
Green pumpkin with red flake on top with translucent pearl with blue flake and color shift on the bottom. The closest color to this is called hammer time by bass assasin. It catches piggies![🐷](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f437.svg)
great video, other than the colors mentioned, do you any you prefer to use when fishing in WI
Electric shad is a killer here in Texas.
Strike King and Keitech's Ayu is very close to your Goby color. On Kentucky Lake, there's a population of largemouth that stay up shallow all summer feeding on emerald shiners, and a 2.75" Rage Swimmer or Easy Shiner in Ayu matches them perfectly. Bonus, if you run across some bluegill beds a dab of chartreuse spike-it on the tail turns Ayu into a passable bluegill imitation.
Hands down that pro blue is the best Keitech color, I discovered that on my own years ago. Another great color is ayu and bluegill flash both are pretty versatile.
I'm new to swimbaits and grabbed up ghost shad rage swimmers in 3.75 and some 6th sense treble line through heads on sale to try out this year. I can't wait!
Thank You! like having 3 to 4 colors. space and weight big deal in a Kayak
Good video Matt![🤛](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f91b.svg)
Pro blue red pearl in the prespawn. Thank me later.
Thank you for the tips
You haven’t fished the melon color yet then. It’ll change your mind Matt.
I live in MA with no shad but man they love that green gizzard for some reason.
I've been waiting for this video![🎉](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f389.svg)
Two of my favorite keitech fat impact colors are bluegill flash ( caught a ton on them ) and silver flash minnow . I have done really well with both of them but the bg flash really does it for me
I have started pouring my own soft plastics, so I can create my own color combos. I agree with your colors 100, but like to add differing flakes, pearl efftects. Plus, it is just cool to catch feesh on things I create!
Time for me to teach. 1. Pearl 2. Omega Red 3. Morning Dawn 4. Ice aka Sight Flasher 5. CA Smelt Minnow or greenish with flakes 6. Bluish hue, grey top with blk/bluish flakes. 7. Greyish with the gold flakes. 8. Brownish like the Hazedongs. Oh how much I hate Megaass. Gizit blue is fire. Pather Martin red is awesome. That's all I'm going to tell you about swimmybaits. I don't just use them, I'm killing them. I do not use Fat Impacts bc they have little body action. They have certain conditions and techniques they excel in. Only will teach when I will have started my channel. If not, I'm taking a lot of things to the grave with me.
Rapala crush city in that last color is![🔥](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f525.svg)
I fish a lake that hasa lot of bluegill and perch and the sungill color is very productive. Also the strike king KVD magic works very well.
for keitech, I liked the dark scupin, french pearl, pro red blue, and baby bass
I just got into swimbaits recently, the electric blue chartreuse has been working pretty good in all colored water, the kitech is brighter than other brands but it don't hold up very long on the 3in ones, do you have a small tush that will work?![👍](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f44d.svg)
For the last 6yrs I have only exclusively used the Jackall Rthymwave 4.8-5.8” in golden Shad. I’ve tried every other colour but the GS just gets flat out bit.
Down here in florida you can pretty much fish any color swim bait you want as long as it looks like a golden shiner …![😂](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f602.svg)
Matt,,would love to know how you store your keitechs?..i hate the space requirement to leave em in the pack!
Great info! Thank you!!
Nice video but it sounds like something is brewing got to take care, it's that time of the year![👍](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f44d.svg)
Appreciate the good stuff Happy New year Tournament time.
New favorite is Pro Green Red Pearl taking crown from Pro Blue Red Pearl.![💪](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f4aa.svg)
I would try the white, dark and maybe a sight flash.
Pretty close to the colors I use. I fish some pretty diverse lakes and that covers most. Though pink and reds are also in the mix.
Did you mean bass candy or small mouth magic
I'm set then got those and a few others too.![👍](https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/svg/1f44d.svg)

I fish bluegill fisheries for the most part and green pumpkin/chartreus laminates work really well in spring and fall. Keitech calls it "spring gill" I think- Strike King calls it "Summer Green" – Sprayed Grass is very similar to it. Straight up Green Pumkin black flake is always a winner to- but I usually dye the tail chartreus so it's about the same color in the end. There are also times when school bus yellow and orange seems to work really well- the Senko color is called "Desert Craw"- and tbh I don't think anyone else makes this particular color. Once it gets hot, mid summer- Junebug and plum have been my go to's for years now and they're both still producing for me. I've started experimenting with solid black the last couple seasons to, and Neon (black w/ red flake)- it's starting to become a favorite of mine to- when it's really muddy or low light conditions.
