There are a lot of soft plastic fishing lures made to replicate crayfish, but these are my favorite!!

My Profile:
http://www.mattstefanfishing.com/
CPF Lures craw or creature. Better plastic, holds together longer while maintaining flexibility. Random tip: if you slice a craw bait lengthwise, you now have a trailer/jig body with a cool little flappy tail.
i love Biwaa Armored Craw
My "secret weapon" here in Florida was the wave worms 3 inch tiki grass craw… they don't make them anymore π’ thankfully I have a bunch left over from when they did a huge sale on them.
I like to look of the 6th sense crube. Craw style tube. It has a nice suttle action and stands up well as a trailer on finesse jigs.
Great video! Do you guys still have high water levels in WI? Iβm up here NE Iowa for summer vacation and the water is really high over here.
Yum Crawbug not only looks exactly like a crawfish with a tucked under tail, it is also a tube style bait that can be rigged βstupidβ or standard style on a 3/0 tube jig head.
And because they are βYumβ brand, they are incredibly inexpensive!
I've been using a green pumpkin fluke with some garlic die on the tip, texas rigged on a jig, so it stands upwards. Works great on a chatterbait for a smallmouth.
Great tip
Of you think the Armor Craw is good, try the OSP Do-Live Craw!
Thank you
My favorites are the Gambler crawdaddy and bb cricket. I wish Berkeley would bring back their 4" powercraw. Also, the old Hales crawworm as a jig trailer. I should use creature baits, but was boatless for many years.
Good info
I'm enamored by the the Megabass Sleeper Craw. Been having good luck with it.
For me, the tube is tops. But the beaver baits seem to get larger fish.
raid zariganist β¦ and I pull the claws. Run it like an imo. Temps up around here so they get railed as they are by the bigger fish. But with the claws pulled and the little legs on, it gets absolutely crammed. The juvy craw, cavity filled with my ripped up GC/SAF lures is just offensive. Melt down the SAF plastics, pour in that cavity and you have a dense plastic that stays down, and held on to when they bite. And youβll get a ton of bites
The smaller profile, Dry Creek drop shot work me.
I have been having good luck with the great lakes finesse snack craw on an 1/8th oz jig head. I was disappointed initially because matte black was the only color fleet farm had but it gets bit!
Biffle Bug
Beaver looks identical dragged on lake bottom. I used to have crawfish in a tank. Larew salt craw is second.
Creme (more realism), Sportman's (actual profile and best size), hawgs (size and versatility), lipless (speed), beavers (catchability), all do great.
Interesting choices. Id have to say trd craw or Nikko craw are my only two craw mimicking baits I throw. Lots of other plastics you mention that I'll fish but not when they are super keyed in on crawfish especially smallmouth.
Live crayfish are great bait. Unfortunately, they die very quickly. I've been using very small floating plastic craws on nedheads.
I donβt wanna give up my juice baits π but what do you think about the Great Lakes finesse craw tube theyβve developed?
whatever the craw it seems like smaller craws are more productive. 3 inch or smaller. at least on the lakes and rivers I fish.
I like the Berkeley Chigger craw and Crazy legs Chigger Craw o. Jigs and Texas rig. Also the BTS Molds 703 craw for those that shoot thier own baits. Alway toss my old torn power baits in when making these…
πππππ
I like zman hula stickz, xzone nedzone, RI sweet beaver as jig trailers when tryin to mimic bottom creatures like a craw. I agree, you donβt need those wild crazy flapping arms. β¦. I only use flapping craw baits (zman hella crawz or RI spicy beaver) when swimming a jig
Missle baits D-Bomb.
Iv'e been using the Max Scent little troopers lately and had very good results, but you have to watch very closely for the pick up or they will swollow the baits!
