Interesting you're working on a weedless TUSH. Saw another video last month (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kz-OinLEjek) and their only complaint was the TUSH's tendency to snag. For whatever reason I thought the TUSH came in weedless versions and I even went to the Core site and confirmed that wasn't the case. Sounds like a good idea!
I’ve unfortunately got a batch of the first set of cullshads, and out of the 4 I bought about 2 run properly I think. Either way they’ve caught fish even small little guys will inhale it. I recently picked up the 8 and had some bites on it as well. It has nice roll and the trail really thumps pretty good
What wider available mag swim baits would you suggest?
Really interesting in Eastern Nc it’s all Z-Man, I don’t even see any comments on them , i’m gonna try some of these recommendations on Sea trout in fresh water creeks this winter , Caught a 25 incher yesterday on a 4 inch Z man
for big soft swimbaits, I have to feel the tail thumping. Optimum's Boom Boom and Baby Boom Boom are my favorite soft plastic swimbaits. But my favorite +6" soft Swimbaits are Bacca Burrito's (made of Silicone). The thick tails on the Burrito just thump! I feel the cadence has a lot to do with it also. The silicone material probably puts out a lower frequency that penetrates the water further.

Imakatsu lazy swimmer over shallow grass is money. Also the Imakatsu stealth swimmer with the built in weedless hook is a great swimbait
the Storm wild eye swim shad has always worked well for me. they come in sizes up to 9". also many good colors

I have a question. Does that work on the fox chain? Not that I would bass fish it. But in my 40 years out there it does not seem the way to go. More likely musky and big walleye on that technique

Magdraft, 6” Burrito
The Babe is awesome! Some other ones i like is the Bacca Burritos, Raid Libero, MattLures swimbaits (Hammer Shad), Big Bite B5 & B6.
I have a whole bunch of swimbaits in my collection frrom 5 inch Savage Gear line thru Trout real 3D scan and 7 inch Real 3D Trout in Hitch pattern Paddle tail to the 9 inch SS20 9 inch Swimbait trying to stay on the more affordable side. But I have 2 of the Babe Swimbaits along with the venerable Hudd 68's and Magdraft freestyle. You can never have enough once you start! Having the right Rod's for throwing those baits helps.

The Bacca Burrito and Burrito Nacho- the Nacho is a smaller version of the Bacca Burrito- they both work great. They're made of a different kind of plastic than most swimbaits- soft silicon- so it's real stretchy but unbelievably tough. Mike Bucca is producing them- but they were designed on lake Baccarac in Mexico and supposedly have landed some real giants. I use the smaller Nacho because my forage is bluegill and it's about the right size to mimic a big gill. But the regular Burrito is like 8+ inches I think.

Just because Shiners are great at catching fish, doesn't mean you should use them. All the new cars are on the rich side of town. We tend to have old cars.
Bass Mafia looks pretty good aside from the stabilizers and flat bottom. The purpose of a swimmybait is not to use it as a jig (dragging). As a Texas rig, copy dat or 10-4.
I can tell you the best swimmybaits and the whys. Who's gonna listen to someone like me yo? I used to do security work. Here is where people bash me, but nobody has defeated me with their expensive Megaass lures yet. That's strange. When they see me killing it, they won't ask. They'll just grab my lure on my rod bc I don't kiss and tell.
Yesterday, I took my amater buddy to catch up to over 30 tears of drifting. He was elated. YT has been doing him awfully wrong all this time. Then, we met up with the ex-bil and he showed us trout hover rig all over the fast Kings. That's impressive as fook. I says to him, "You have really mastered that style." He tells me the secret, "You need a flexible rod." I replied, "No, my rod is too flexible," then I showed him and he realized where he is wrong. Lol. I already know where I gone wrong bc my elite brother can do the same hover technique in the river with octopussies. Again, there is no perfect rod, you go after what you are good at and generalized your rod as much as possible.
I'm not paid by Big Joshy, but they are very popular in Ohio. They are mostly known for their small swim baits (2-4 inches). The JP-5 is a 5 inch soft plastic swim bait, 4 per box for $10. It come in several awesome colors. I use an in-line jig head (6th Sense) turned upside down to hook the treble hook in to the belly of the bait. You should give Big Joshy a try!
