  1. I have had great success at nite throwing a black single blade spinner bait when they don't hot a buzzer it can be killer its all in the blade dosent have to be a big Colorado depending upon water clarity

  2. Great video as always Tim. I know that you guys have put a lot of swimbait videos on this channel however i was wondering if you could make a video specifically for the magdraft.

  3. Had to laugh when you said they know the baits by now. I’m certain that when they hear my truck door close at the ponds I’ve fished all year, they all say, “Oh hell, here comes that bone Choppo 90…🙄”. 🤣🤣🤣

I have picked up some new baits lately to throw, and have used some different presentations. The bite definitely picked up.

  4. July and August nights are the bomb! Juter woodchoper fishcake each makes a different sound. Just before the sun starts to rise move to rock and catch the best smallmouth of the year! Love the night.

  5. Upstate NY , very small lake about 1 mile long by .5 mile wide at longest point (maybe) max depth 29ft. Summer – it turns 75% pad fields. I’ve been froggin about 250yards or so of grass in 4-5 hours a day. Working an area over for sometimes a full hour of I know there’s a fish in casting distance . Caught 14.4 pounds with 3 fish the other day including a 6.25 which is massive for this lake.. or so I thought. All
Summer long I’ve missed GIANTS and they’re in the thickest of thick grass- usually really shallow or wherever gets most shade OR creek current coming in- but extremely heavy cover- once you hook one there’s 0 give on letting it swim down into the stems of the pads you HAVE to keep its head up above the stems , there’s been certain instances I got smoked by a boil you’d see from a carp up shallow-but was no carp, and apparently my gear wasn’t strong enough to keep its head up so it would’ve had to of been 7+ , my rod and reel can keep a 7 up along w my immaculate forearm strength (kayak angler) 😂..but no kidding, shade, bluegill, and some type of water coming in consistently keeps these big fish shallow..they’ve never been caught- there’s zero anglers who fish like me in the area – mostly live bait fishermen, im a very well rounded tournament angler…. i 100% of time have the pads and grass to myself. I’m curious on a GREAT heavy cover frog??? I’ve been using scum frogs and pad crashesrs and hook up is 50/50 sometimes worse. A lot of times they throw the frog when they come up n hit it if it’s by a pad, but I need something I can make long casts with and hooks up better than 50%

  6. Mistake i made night fishing is not taking extra clothes socks shoes etc….ive fell in a few times….and it couid be deadly if u fish nights in winter like i do

  7. Fishing the middle of the day is very rare for me. I’m either at work or we are doing our normal family routine. The small opportunities I’ve had though have been rewarding.

  8. Fished an event on West Point Lake here in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. Power fished main lake points and shade pockets most of the day and caught some smaller fish. Weigh in was gonna be at 330, I put on a Vision110 Jr+1 and started throwing it around bridge pilings in 30-40 foot of water and caught 15 bass in the last hour and half. Finished the event in 1st place, could not believe how that went down, so im definetly a believer in trying something different after that.

  9. Yall ever use the hybrid hunter? If so that's the video I want. I smack'em on it everywhere ! And it's usually more quality fish just like a jig gets. And it's a "grass crank" but for me it's a "if there's water then throw it" crank.

  10. My biggest mistake is fishing the same area that I'm comfortable with. Sometimes that dumb out the box cast is the best cast where you think fish aren't. My lake is a grass lake thick healthy green grass so it can be overwhelming to most. Tomorrow when I go out I plan on fishing the areas I don't normally fish often

  11. My biggest mistake is probably fishing the same baits that I've done well with from spring on…….hard to not throw those….I'm going to change it up this weekend……lately the fish have been out in open water suspended with shad.. this is the time of year fish need a break from anglers pounding them daily…unfortunately, these same fish don't get much of a break these days with FFS exposing all of them in every lake from alot of anglers…may try the lipless yo-yo technique for those suspended fish this weekend..can't say I've tried that before
