You must use a watermellon red paddle tail with a very small weight and let it sink to the bottom and give it small twitches because the fish is slow.Hope it helps

If there are grassy lily pad like areas around the lake try throwing a weedless wacky rig with a 5 inch watermelon red flake senko, once u see ur line moving give them 10-15 seconds depending on how long you have felt them on,to eat the senko and then set the hook. Also remember to let it sink first and then raise your rod and twitch it. Hope this helps 🙃
