I have two Hook 7 Reveal on my boat and love them. They are easy to use and are push button. Not sure I see why you think they are so hard to use, they are basically Lowrance equivalent of the Helix line. A youtube video or two and you're good to go. One thing I don't like is their tripleshot transducer and I'm not sure they get the level of crisp detail I want but at that price point I"m not expecting 4K resolution.
Thank you Randy, for not lowering yourself to some other U Tubers who will pass gas on his wife in the video. In my opinion it shows a lack of respect for her and the viewers. I did the best thing I could do and that was unsubscribe.
I think the Hummingbird units are really nice and user-friendly and the setup that you showed us on your boat is great! I would stick with the same or a similar setup on your future boat, just my opinion. The down and side imaging is nice especially for underwater hazards that down imaging may not show. Great stuff Randy and your setup is nice!!
You don'd need good unit because you are a bank beater.
Advice from someone who wants everyone to use flashers
I believe as you do about Lowrance. I use Garmin, and after using both lowrance and humming bird I find the quality and user friendliness of Garmin a big plus.

I have a helix 7 on my sportsman 120PDL and absolutely love it. It’s the perfect size for a fishing kayak.

Flashers were the first live sonars. $706.00 for Vexilar flasher top model and kit to mount on boat with transducer.

humminbird , vexilar & marcum stii makes flashers but they are for ice fishing. Vexilar makes an in dash model

Went from Humminbirds to Garmins, I like the Garmins better, but would go back to Humminbird before I got a Lowrance! 😂

Yeah, I love my birds but menus are much different from Lowrance. I guess it is all what you get accustom to using as it took me a while to figure out all of the HB settings after leaving Lowrance.
