I think social media has brought to light how truely a bad decision it is to become a pro angler. More than ever everyone is learning the truth behind the scenes. Many of the pros today are independently financially wealthy and not through fishing. I don't know where the professional side of the sport will be in 5 years from now but I do believe that there will be a reduction of the numbers of anglers in all leagues, if all the leagues will even make it 5 years.
I appreciate what you do. It's so nice to watch a video when someone gets their point out in 10-15 min. I don't understand these guys that post these 1-2 hour videos. Keep doing what you are doing.
I forget who said it but it was “ if you want to become a millionaire bass fishing you need to start with 2 million “ Personally I’m happiest when I’m out on the water alone ( or with friends n family ) just fishing . Really gets my mind right
Never even considered trying. I enjoy fishing too much to ruin it by making it work. I’ve never really enjoyed the few tournaments I’ve been in over the decades, which is why I so rarely do them. Good video though. Hope your Christmas was great!
If you took the number of anglers that are considered "Pro's"… the percentage of anglers making a solid living is less than 10%. That would be my guess.

Absolutely a horrible idea…. I know I tried this in 2005…. One of my best friends is an elite pro, and he was fresh off a classic win. Rode in the back of the boat with him for years. I thought I had a fast track. When it was all said and done I lost over $170,000 in the 2 1/2 years I tried to be a pro
I dont want to make the one thing in my life that relieves stress, extra stressful. Fishing is my quiet time. My time for thinking and enjoying the outdoors. I only compete with my wife lol. Winner is relieved of cooking dinner for the night. That's enough competition and a good enough prize for me.
