Honestly in my experience, the 1/2oz mini max fishes at the same depth as the 3/8 jackhammer. Such a small bait it doesn't catch as much water in creating resistance. Mini max you will need to go 1 size bigger than a jackhammer to keep the same depth.
All the one's u said are killer. The cross eyes chatterbait is badass to. Starts right away on retrieve I've had a lot of luck with the cross eyes. Tight lines bro

The ridiculous price of the Jackhammer just turns me off. And barely, if any noticable improvements over the original for the average fisherman.
I use the willow vibe, for a different chatterbait, just got the minimax,and I make some w queen tackle,and basstek tungsten arkie style jig head w a weed guard.and always a jackhammer zaco setup,or spunkshad,or a fluke for the trailer.comodos for over wood cover to keep it from rolling on its side, and Roland martin chatter toad, add a ridbit and hold on in those pads!.
I’m partial to the Thunder Cricket for its subtle blade vibration. Really produces for me. I use it alongside the Jackhammer and Mini-Max. Complements them nicely.

Question: Has anyone had an issue with the mini max blade separating from the chatterbait head? I've had three mini maxs come apart on fish and two during the cast.
Dude I absolutely love the stealth blade. Paired with a phantom type color, it gets hammered. I used it when I wanted it to look more natural in clear water.
