The ONLY Way to Fish a Soft Plastic WORM in the Winter

Winter bass fishing can be tough, but if the Texas Rig isn’t cutting it, I’ve got you covered! In this video, I reveal the best winter worm rigs that catch big bass when the bite slows down. These unique setups are designed to trigger lethargic fish and get results in cold water.

Here’s what we cover:
✅ Wacky Rigging a Senko for subtle, irresistible action.
✅ Using JDM Creature Baits from Raid to finesse stubborn winter bass.
✅ Wacky rigging the Geecrack Bellows Gill to mimic realistic baitfish in cold water.

I’ll walk you through the gear, rigging tips, and EXACT techniques to fish these soft plastics for maximum success in winter bass fishing. Whether you’re fishing deep, around structure, or targeting finicky bass, these rigs will change your game.

  1. Where did you get Bog’s life jacket? Thanks for the great videos all year. I’m in California and we fish deep clear lakes out here, except for the Delta and Clearlake, so your technique today fits our type of structure.. thanks

  2. 3:55 You're keeping your channel up to life for 15 years now, and did not reach 100k subscribers. I will tell you why! OMG, you don't know how to fish. Close your break on the real. You're messing up your fishing line, as you crank it, you'll gonna twist it. I'm from Germany and I am ambarresed. Your technique is so bad, you could catch min. twice so much. You are lucky to have so much fish in the lakes and seas.

  3. Lake near my house is half thawed. Didn’t stop me from trying to catch a fish yesterday. Wasn’t out long, didn’t catch anything but felt good to be casting again!

  4. This reminds me of when I was in high school, me and a buddy would pond hop almost every day and one of his go to techniques was swimming a senko. Most of the time he did it weightless and Texas rigged. He reeled it in so gruelingly slow and it worked wonders.

  5. That spot towards the end was a beautiful fish. What you did in this video is exactly why I come to your videos, you think outside the box with wild techniques that Freakin work!!

  6. 7:33 you hooked it "backwards" based on your rule earlier….. Also the Bellows Gill seem to be only usefull as a 2.8 and Neko. Texas rigged they seem to have a horrible hook up from my experience. Upsized hooks, swivels, doesnt matter how I mod. In the other hand a Deps bullflat seems to not have the same issue… weird.

  7. I don’t think I heard a word you said at the end. I can’t listen, when I’m looking at such a beautiful bog. 😂 What an awesome dog. I love how he always pops up when he hears that drag 😂

  8. Mikey, I use the Bellows quite a bit and they do work, Dude. Frankly, I think the bellows are overlooked, but I have a trove of them and they work! Some of my friends laughed at me until I began to catch some nice fish on it. Hey, I admit it looks funky, but damn, it really works! I use a 1/8 oz weight on mine and they sink relatively fast this time of year. I jig the bellow now with the cold water, and rig it through the middle. Amazingly, it does the job. BTW, I love Bog!
