Also when you say parabolic bend are you referring to a moderate or moderate fast action rod?
One of my favorite setups except I’m not fishing for cash. Lews Jason Christie lazer speed spool real 6:8:1 gear ratio bait cast reel, Hank Parker Parker speed stick 7’ medium heavy fast action casting rod and I’m currently running vicious 12lb test monofilament line. And when situations call for something beefier I run a Abu Garcia pro max reel 7:1:1 gear ratio, Abu Garcia vengeance rod 7’6 Heavy moderate fast action casting rod and laced up with power pro 50lb test braided line. What I love about the moderate fast action is it’s a stiff rod with a softer tip to allow me to make long accurate casts especially when fishing hollow body frogs over the Lilly’s. Also the extra give in the tip helps keep fish hooked without worrying about ripping lips
