I struggle to jerk in a downward motion. I usually just tap the slack to varying degrees to the side instead. Not sure if it’s because I haven’t practiced it, my rod is a little too long for my size, or because I’m rarely on a boat.
Good video. I personally like for my jerk bait to sink head first sometimes.
