The In Deep On The Delta Fishing Report For 9/28/2023.

This week it seems the fish have slighty backed off from the recent great bite stretch. Not to worry, the bite is still on and the river is in great shape with a set of really good tides coming. Very light fishing pressure and great weather make this a fantastic time to be on the river. Check out this weeks report, I have a few suggestions to help with the catch. Good luck.

  1. Steve you’ve slugged it out all year. Love hearing red hot in your description and a great last minute add to switch up baits. Too many times I’ve been at the end of my 4-5 hour fishing session where I’ve stuck with the same bait and caught minimal fish. I’m going out tomorrow and will carry that message with me. Cheers!

  2. Hey Steve. Thanks for the reports. Newbie on a kayak and your reports are invaluable! Best day out of Sugar Barge Thursday, 9/29. 7 largemouth to 2.98. My PB! I appreciate your advice and look forward to trying new techniques out there! Hope to hook into something much bigger.

  3. I'm thinking about the Delta on Sunday. If I go, I'll let you know how I do. Thank you for the update. I wouldn't even consider going out there without watching your weekly update first. For instance…I won't be getting up at 4 in the morning like normal. 🙂

  4. I didn’t have much luck last weekend, through too much, Topwater, my brother and his son used wacky worms, or watermelon green senco’s and they caught a lot of fish in the 2 pound range. Thanks for the video Steve. Camoguy.
