  1. Another great technique Hank, and I always feel better when I have the same rig and baits as you. I been using the Zaza worm for a few years now along with other Nikko baits, and I use the angler free rig weights in 1/2 and 3/8 and even 1/4 but I rarely fish over 20’ in our lakes around Raleigh area. Love my TFO rods and glad you’re on the Resolve line, TFO is a great company and I first started using them 9 years ago for my fly rods ( I’ve got 4 TFO fly rods now) . Glad to see your growth and success and I hope you have a outstanding fall fishing season 😜🍀🎣🍀👊

  2. Thanks for sharing on Nikko products. Surprisingly zman baits will not float up with this rig. I love zman baits. They are buoyant but not enough to float up with even a light wire hook using this rig. I would like to know of other baits that are buoyant enough to work with this rig the way you fish it (without dragging).

  3. Great rig and great how to use explanation
My only problem and this strictly me PERSONALLY saying so with all the guys putting out fishing content on YT is cost.
Fishing soft plastics has been my A#1 go to method for fishing since the mid 1980's
Caught 90% of all my largemouth over 7lbs and my PBLM of 9lbs 11oz on a Texas rigged curly tail worm
I have always bought the most sensitive rod I could afford to fish soft plastics
And that can not go over price ceiling is $130
I also have been fishing for salmon and steelhead in streams near my home since the late 1980's and bass gear is useless for creek fishing salmon and steelhead and good quality rods and reels for salmon and steelhead are absolute must have items and affordable spinning reels are very unlikely to survive a single season creek fishing for salmon and steelhead and cost you both grief and more than a few fish in the process
My two sons are also fish all the time now both with me and thier friends and they also need their own fishing equipment
My point being as much as I would absolutely love to have a $300 rod and reel set up for each style of fishing from soft plastics to a finess setup to a dedicated crankbait setup to a dedicated frog setup and a dedicated spinnerbait and chatter bait setup I absolutely can not afford to do so
So I try as best as I can to buy rods and reels that can pull double duty for bass fishing as my salmon and steelhead rods and reels are reserved strictly for that.
I do take care to use the proper line for tge correct application and that does help

  4. Thanks Hank for sharing the free rig, it seems to be legit from all I hear, have not tried it yet, but I am confident I can not catch fish on any rig I throw, looking forward to giving this one a go.

  5. Great video!! Best way I've ever seen on where to use the free rig. Thanks for those tips Hank!!!! Now I have a little more confidence in this rig!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!!

  6. This time of year soft plastics in a Free rig, back glide, and heavy drop shot will catch about anything in the lake. I’ll have them tied on from now till middle-end of winter. Great video as always Hank.

  7. Hey @Bassgeek do you have any videos on the st Croix bass MOJO? I never see anyone recommend that rod and I was wondering about its best uses and limitations thanks for all the videos!

  8. What a great looking rig Hank! I see so much potential in that! I will be trying this rig for sure!! I love the under water footage you showed. Thanks Hank! I appreciate you!
