Congratulations on the win…. With the rod. Was it fast or moderate? Also whats your knot for your leader?… Why so short leader, it being clean. Why not use 5 ft leader. Does the short leader make the bait react different than a long leader?

Way to go Mike, Listen folks, read his book Fishing On The Edge. It give you an idea of Mike's true roots, he is genuine and how he is one of few that absolutely had nothing handed to him, he earned everything and changed a lot of the dogmatic attitudes that were involved in the organizations back in the day. The book also shows that although he didn't have a father to guide him, the love of the family he had, mother, grandparents, and his uncle that had so much faith in him he took a station wagon to uhal bought a hitch because he knew Mike was about to win a new bass boat fishing as a coangler early in his career. Of course he did. Just goes to show with a little confidence and a lot of family love one can accomplish anything they desire. I hope to meet him eventually and just shake his hand and chat for a bit. Read the book, Books

You are not lying it is a different style of fishing. You kicked my butt that day and right then and there I decided to get serious about Kayak fishing. I upgraded my boat and gear just so I can fish the flats. I couldn't get out there with the equipment that day.
