  1. I don't fish tournaments, but I've always done the opposite. I start off smaller to try to get a few bites, then upsize to try to get a few bigger bites.

  2. Good information, thank you for sharing. Your a lot more patient with the negative comments of some viewers then I would be. Haters are gonna hate. Sharing your experiences definitely helps those less knowledgeable. Much appreciated.

  3. Excellent info on downsizing bait size but you stabbed one of my two my biggest pet peeves right in the center of the heart and that is calling it flipping when what you show in the video was actually pitching. I never saw the first flip in that video but did see some pitchin…and that pitchin was to cover not structure. Yes pitching and flipping as well as cover and structure are two totally different things. I know that may come off as being a petty thing to have as a pet peeve so I will take ownership for that. Otherwise good info.

  4. Nice video, like your thought process, observation, and implementation. NEW SUBSCRIBER! You also went from a glide style flippin bait to a more active craw sttyle. Might also bee the action and size? I do fish the speed craw and have caught a couple over 8 including a 9.30 on it. Great bait!

  5. It absolutely matters but not only in just pressured waters or changing weather conditions. Often it's the fall rate as well because if you downsize but they're still not liking it use a trailer with kick. The smaller weight with the kick slows the fall rate which can entice then into taking it!
Sometimes I'll also add a rattle then after casting give it a light pop in the middle of the fall…. Works wonders!!!!

  6. Had the same thing happen a few years ago when fishing Cowan with my buddy. I was throwing a Christie critter and he was throwing a baby brush hawg. Same color. He was throwing a 1/4 and I was throwing a 1/2. And he absolutely smoked me.
