  1. A loop knot on crankbaits and jerkbaits imparts so much more action – killer deal in the winter when I’m barely turning the handle. AND, it’s my favorite for any single hook jigging situations (e.g.,swimbaits, flukes, jigs) post-spawn to fall. Few different ways to tie it -they all work!

  2. That’s so funny I just started using the loop knot a couple of weeks ago on a little Megabass popper that didn’t have a split ring. I was doing it differently. I’m going to try your way. Perfect timing!

  3. Thanks Randy, I used to fish tournaments, loved it but now I mainly crappie fish. Have a place on Reelfoot lake. Use a loop knot to tie my jigs, enjoy your videos and your opinion on most everything, I with you when I see forest being cleared for shopping centers makes me sick at my stomach. I grew up in south Arkansas and weve lost almost all our hardwood foŕrest, when I go back home it breaks my heart.

  4. Randy. I've used a loop knot for years, primarily for long line trolling small Rapalas for rainbows. I'm a Canadian angler where Walleye is the primary sport fish. Unlike bass, walleye is arguably the best fresh water table fare fish. A very strong commercial fishery plus us recreational anglers. I recently responded to a UTuber, who I follow and respect, advising the growing use of forward facing sonar is detrimental to our fishery. I was shocked at the replies. The show host opined that mapping was the biggest advancement, followed by better boats, tackle, etc. !! Other replies echoed much the same. They just don't get it.
    Keep up the great work.
