Have you been able to keep catching those bass as the weather gets colder?
I threw crankbaits, jerkbaits and flukes with no luck while fish started chasing bait all around me. I then put on the kvd 2.5 wakebait in gizzard shad and got a Largemouth to bite slow waking it past a rusted out metal dock. I should try more topwater next time I see them busting bait on the surface even if its cold out.
Here in Middle Tn we need cold to get them to bite , once Summer is over, it gets tough until that water drops into the low 60s , then if the water temps stays over 48 degrees the fishing can be good with the right conditions
That north bank is even more pronounced on my home water. There is a huge spoil pile running east-west and that south shoreline barely gets any direct sun until late spring. But the shoreline closest to the house is way warmer. Good stuff!
Been fishing almost 60 years and never once thought about that. I'll have to give it a try
We haven't had many sunny days recently, but when the sun comes out I can find bass much quicker. I like targeting sea walls by the marina. The metal heats up fast and holds heat all day.
I love the tips! Fishing has been hard lately but these videos help me a ton!
Don’t know if this already exists but over this winter I’m going to see if I can figure out how to make a weedless hard jerkbait. I go through so many plastic flukes would love to have something that lasts longer but is as weedless as a fluke.
There is one sunny spot on my lake that I can fish from the bank. I tried it yesterday in the morning and caught 2 bass on a ned rig. I'll be looking for more places to try this at.
That would explain why a lot of areas I fish are completely empty of anything I haven't seen anything under docks in weeks.
There is a pile of busted up bricks in my lake that I always avoid because I only ever get snagged there. But I'm gonna try fishing it next chance I get.
