The BEST Summer Smallmouth Bass Fishing Lures

The best summertime smallmouth bass lures!

I and Jeremy Bunnell spent a week fishing in the smallmouth bass haven of Northern Michigan in early August 2020 in search of the best lures to catch summertime smallmouth bass. We spent time on the clear waters of Lake Michigan and inland lakes that had clear and stained water.

The best smallmouth bass lures through the week included tubes, jerkbaits, drop shot rig, ned rig, and Alabama Rig. This video shows catches of smallmouth with all of these lures, how to use them, and how to rig them.
